Dr Barbara Fossum(Entrepreneurship Consultant)
Barbara was the founding director of the IC² Masters in Science and Technology Commercialisation.  She currently teaches and consults in technology assessment, new venture validation and business planning. Barbara is one of Tekstrategy’s key team and recently co-directed the development of the Entrepreneurship Programme for UK Universities & Colleges.  Previously Barbara was director of the Quality Management Consortia programme, which she founded, of the College of Engineering and the Graduate School of Business, a member of the UT Austin Intellectual Property Committee, and a member of a taskforce developing a commercialisation strategy and processes.   In addition to her PhD, she has an MBA and a Master of Science in Mathematics.  Barbara is a Fellow of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), and she was a member of the 2001-2003 International Board of Directors of SME.  She has many years of experience in computer systems for manufacturing, project management and business process redesign, and was a principal owner of Reveille Technology Inc. Barbara also worked for Bell Laboratories (AT&T) and Sperry Computer Systems (Unisys).
 

Dr Razak Grady(Entrepreneurship Consultant)
Razak was educated in Canada and the United Kingdom as an Engineer and has a doctorate degree in knowledge and technology transfer.  Razak is one of Tekstrategy’s leading advisers to governments and universities on matters regarding knowledge and technology transfer. His areas of expertise include science & technology commercialisation, innovation policies, entrepreneurship education, and incubation. Razak championed the first “Science & Technology Commercialisation Workshop” in the UK and co-directed the development of the Entrepreneurship Programme for UK Universities & Collegesis. He is a founding member of Tekstrategy Ltd, Thames Gateway Technology Centre and Knowledge Dock Network. Razak has presented expert comments to DTI; contributed to the development of five business incubation programmes, managed a university-business interface; and evaluated publicly funded projects. Dr Grady is an active researcher; a regular speaker at conferences and workshops; and currently teaches entrepreneurship at the University
of East London.

Professor Meg Wilson (Technology Transfer Strategist)
Meg combines academic, government and business experiences and currently lectures at the University of Texas. Her areas of expertise include science & technology commercialisation, innovation policies, entrepreneurship, and economic development. She joined UT in 1996 to teach in the IC² Executive Masters, Science and Technology Commercialisation programme. Meg has notably been a Senior Policy Analyst in the Texas Governor's Office from 1980-1986; Coordinator, Centre for Technology Development & Transfer at UT Austin; and Vice President of MCC (Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corporation),1989-1996.  She is the former president of the Technology Transfer Society and a member of the Texas Technology Transfer Association and the Association of University Technology Managers. Meg is a regular keynote speaker on leading conferences and has various publications. She contributed to the development of the Austin Technology Incubator the Capital Network and was appointed by the US Secretary of Commerce to sit on the Camino Real Export Council. Meg has held other positions within the University, including Director Texas Telecommunications Policy Institute and works on special projects for IC2 in the US, Armenia, Poland and Mexico. In a related short-term stint, she was Executive Director of the Austin Software Council. 

Gordon McClure (Business Strategy Adviser)
G
ordon is a qualified Barrister and a Chartered Accountant. He specialised for some years in taxation, and was Tax Manager for the European and African division of the Getty Oil Corporation for 4 years. With a colleague he then established an independent  tax consultancy company, which went on to develop software systems for personal tax applications and raised venture capital in 1983. After three years as a director of Willis Corroon plc’s personal financial planning subsidiary Gordon has remained independent for the last 12 years acting as a company doctor, a part-time director and a shareholder, providing business strategy advice to small - medium sized companies and individuals in many different areas of business. In this role he has assisted a technology transfer start up from Imperial College, London and helped to build a scientific instrument company to a turnover of in excess of  £2million over a 7 year period.

Dr David Hall (Tekstrategy Advisor)
Chief Executive Officer of HFL, a forensic lab providing high quality analytical, development and research services in drug detection and analytical chemistry.
